Terms & Conditions

Campervan hire is subject to agreement of the following terms and conditions, and we require confirmation that they will be strictly adhered to.

Price quoted includes:

•Comprehensive insurance with Allianz Insurance plc

• No mileage limits

• 24 hour Breakdown cover with RAC

• All cooking equipment, crockery and cutlery, sponge, binbags 

• Camping gas

• A full tank of Diesel, which we request is refilled before returning the campervan

 

Insurance

Standard excess of £500.00. In the event of any damage to either, the vehicle or third party property, the hirer will be liable for the excess. The hirer will also be fully liable for replacement or repair of windscreen or tyre damage.

Drivers are personally liable for all legal penalties (eg: speeding, parking fines, congestion charges), which are incurred during the period of hire

An additional daily insurance charge will apply if European travel is required.

Insurance provided only covers the vehicle and does not cover personal possessions.  We recommend that you take out insurance to cover your personal items during the rental period.

Full insurance details can be provided once a booking has been confirmed and paid.

We fully recommend all hirers take our their own travel insurance policy to cover for all eventualities. 

Breakdown Cover

The campervan is covered by 24 hour breakdown assistance in the UK & up to 90 days in specified European countries. Please check with us that your destination is covered if outside of the UK.

  

Driver conditions

• Age limits: 23 to 75 years old

• Hold a full UK / International licence for a minimum of 2 years, with no more than 6 points.

• No more than 1 claim in the last 5 years.

• Details of additional drivers are required in advance. 

• Valid standard driver's licence required from all drivers at start of hire

• Each driver must also provide two additional forms of identification. All must clearly show the drivers name and address, and be dated within 90 days of when the hire commences:

  • Utility bill AND

  • Bank or credit card statement OR any other bill (excluding mobile phone bills)

• A DVLA licence check code which can be obtained for free from https://www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence

• Drivers outside of the standard above may still hirer the campervan, but may receive a higher quote due to insurance costs.

 

Security Deposit

Prior to the hire a refundable Security Deposit of £500 is payable via bank transfer. This is fully refundable within 48 hours on return of the vehicle, in the same condition as it was let out. The Security Deposit will be used to pay for the insurance excess in the case of an incident, or for any loss or damage to equipment, fixtures and fittings, windows, tyres or negligent damage to the vehicle. Payment 

A reservation is only binding once the booking is confirmed by email and a non-refundable deposit of £150 has been received. Settlement of the remaining balance can be paid at any date up to 14 days prior to departure.

For late bookings the full rental price is payable on booking. The campervan will not be released without full payment being completed.

Payments can be made either via bank transfer or Paypal.

 

Cancellation Charges 

No refund will be given if cancelled within 1 week of rental date. We advise all hirers to take out their own travel insurance to cover any eventualities. There will be no refund in the event of early return e.g. illness, accident.
 

Collection & Return 

Please allow 30 minutes for the hand-over to complete the documentation and demonstrate the camper to you.  We will also agree any existing damage and the inventory of equipment supplied.  Please also allow up to 30 minutes for hand-over on return of the camper. 

The camper must be returned on or before the date and time stated, on the rental agreement, be clean and in the same condition as it left otherwise charges will be made.

If you are running late we must be advised immediately. Failure to advise may result in prosecution for driving whilst uninsured.

 

Delivery and Return of the Campervan

The Hirer acknowledges having received the campervan in a clean condition and in sound working order in accordance with the Departure Checklist and with a full fuel tank.

The Hirer will return the campervan in a clean condition with a full fuel tank, on the agreed return date and time.

The Hirer acknowledges that we will not refund any monies, nor have any obligation to provide a replacement vehicle, if the campervan is returned or the Hirer ceases to have the use of the campervan prior to the return date for any reason e.g. Accident, breakdown, weather or theft. 

 

Use of the Campervan

The campervan is not to be driven otherwise than in a cautious, prudent and normal manner; used in a manner which could cause damage; driven in a prohibited area or in an area other than the areas indicated by us; driven by a person under the influence of alcohol or drugs or with a blood alcohol level in excess of that permitted by law; left with the ignition key in the vehicle while it is unoccupied; left unoccupied without the radio faceplate removed; valuables concealed; driven by persons under the age of 25 years or who is not authorised by law to drive the campervan or named in the agreement; damaged by submersion in water; put into contact with salt water; used for any illegal purpose for any race, rally or contest; used to tow any vehicle or trailer not authorised in advance; used to carry passengers or property for hire or reward; used to carry more than 5 persons; used to carry volatile liquids, gases, explosives or other corrosive or inflammable material; or otherwise used in breach of the Hirers obligations under this Agreement. The hirer will be responsible for loss of keys

 

Smoking 

Smoking is strictly not permitted inside the campervan.  A valeting charge will be incurred by the Hirer if this policy is ignored.

 

Pets 

No pets are allowed inside the campervan, unless written approval has been given. This will incur an additional one off cost of £40.

 

Maintenance

The Hirer shall take all reasonable steps to properly maintain the campervan, including oil checks and water, and acknowledge that we will reimburse the Hirer for expenditure up to £100 reasonably incurred in rectifying any mechanical failure to the engine of the campervan, provided that the Hirer produces relevant receipts at the end of the hire period and have received the prior consent that the damage is not due to any fault or by breach of this Agreement of the Hirer. 

 

Responsibility if an accident occurs

In the event of any accident, loss or damage arising out of the use of the campervan, the Hirer will notify us within 24hrs of the event occurring, obtain the names and addresses of third parties and any witnesses and report the event to the nearest police station. Also, the Hirer will complete a European accident report form as relevant, not make any admission of liability to other parties, settlement offer or other like offer. 

The Hirer undertakes to assist us in handling any claim arising from any event, including providing all relevant information and attending Court to give evidence. 

Responsibility for Penalties

The Hirer accepts all responsibility for any penalties accumulated during their hire period. This may include (but not limited to) Parking Fines, Dartford Crossing Toll (Dart Charge) or The Congestion Charge. 

 

Terminating the Agreement

The Hirer acknowledges that we may terminate this Agreement and repossess the campervan at any time, without notification to the Hirer, and that the Hirer will pay the reasonable costs of repossessing the campervan, including towing charges if the Hirer is in breach of any term of this Agreement, has obtained the campervan through fraud or misrepresentation, the campervan appears to be abandoned, the campervan is not returned on the agreed return date or we reasonably believes that it will not be returned on the agreed return date, or if we consider on reasonable grounds, that the safety of passengers or the condition of the campervan is endangered. In the event of such termination or repossession, the Hirer has no right to a refund of any part of the rental charges or the security deposit. 

 

Change of Vehicle

We reserve the right, at our absolute discretion, to substitute a comparable or similar vehicle for the campervan. 

 

Title to Vehicle

The Hirer acknowledges that we retain the title to the campervan and that the Hirer possess the goods as a mere bailee only and do not have any right to pledge credit in connection with the campervan and agree not to do so and shall not agree, attempt, offer or purport to sell, assign, sublet, lend, pledge, mortgage, let on hire, or otherwise part with or attempt to part with the personal possession of or otherwise deal with the campervan. 

 

Cleaning Fee
A cleaning fee of £50.00 will be deducted from the Security deposit if the Vehicle is not returned with the interior in a reasonably clean condition. Cleaning products will be provided and we request all rubbish is removed.

 

Parking
Parking is available either on our driveway or our road, however, please note we do not hold any liability for your vehicle. 


Privacy Policy
We will not share your personal details with other companies. We may use your details to email you offers and information from time to time. Please contact us to opt out of marketing offers.

 

Please note any changes to this agreement must be in writing and must be signed on behalf of us and by the Hirer. This agreement shall be governed by English Law.

This Agreement, constitutes the entire agreement of the parties and there are no other oral undertakings, warranties or agreements between the parties relating to the subject matter of this agreement. We reserve the right to add or amend any rental charges without prior notice.
